DIOGO PINA, PLAYERS OF FUTURE striker, was one of the players used in Serpa's defeat (1-0) against Gil Vicente in a match counting for the 4th round of the Portuguese Cup. The Alentejo club's striker regrets the result with the Gilistas, he argues that there were moments when Serpa were superior, but now it's time to turn things around and start thinking about the game against Vasco da Gama da Vidigueira to count towards the 11th round of Series D of the Portuguese Championship.
- Did Serpa deserve more from the challenge with Gil Vicente?
- In the general context of the game, I feel it was well played, despite being against a Primeira Liga team. We created our opportunities but didn't convert them, we ended up conceding the goal from a corner.
- How do you assess the difference in pace between the two teams?
- It was a very good experience. Higher echelon teams, as a rule, give much more space to play than teams in our championship. It was a well-played match on everyone's part. We could have beaten Gil Vicente, we did that!
- Did you feel there was a big difference between the two teams?
- I think we fought well, there were moments in the game when we were superior and things could have gone our way. Unfortunately, it didn't end up happening. We have to raise our heads!
- Next is a visit from Vasco da Gama da Vidigueira. Fundamental to your aspirations?
- Yes, without a doubt a very important game in our house. We only care about victory. Certainly, our fans will be out in force in the stands to support us, as is customary. They are there for us at all times and I know they will continue. We will still give them a lot of joy, I have no doubt.
- Is maintenance on the horizon?
- The objective is to get as far as possible in the classification. There are still many games left and I know that working the way we are, we will be able to maintain ourselves.
