Gonçalo Batista in good shape in Marinhense's defeat of U. Tomar (5-1)

GONÇALO BATISTA, PLAYERS OF FUTURE forward, was prominent in Marinhense's 5-1 victory over União de Tomar, in the 20th round of Series C of the Portuguese Championship. With this victory, the team led by Nuno Kata maintained third place, one point behind Lusitânia dos Açores and three behind leader União de Santarém. However, the Marinha Grande team counts one game less than their direct opponents.

- Do you feel more and more integrated with the team?

- Yes, without a doubt, I feel better and more confident each time. But I cannot forget that everything is easier with the quality of my colleagues and the spirit of mutual help that exists. It is essential for us to achieve success that this is the case.

- How do you evaluate your performance in the 5-1 victory against União de Tomar?

- I think I did very well, it was a game that showed my football and I feel better and better, a fact that makes me very happy.

- And the team?

- We are growing, without a doubt, and the truth is that in the last six games we have won five and drawn one. Achieving 16 points out of a possible 18 is extraordinary.

- What position did you play?

- I played as a winger.

- What position do you prefer?

- I do not care. As the wingers play a lot inside, it's almost the same thing as being at 10. But the essential thing is to help the team win.

- How far can Marinhense go?

- Well, with the quality of the team we have we can go very far, but we have to think game by game with our feet firmly on the ground, so we can go very far.

- Next comes the visit to Fontinhas dos Açores at a time when the team is going through an excellent moment. Trend to maintain?

- Undoubtedly. We are going to the Azores with the focus on victory. We will continue to work in the same way and face the game with Fontinhas as we have in all of them: eyes focused on victory! We know it will be a complicated game but we will give everything to bring victory to Marinha Grande.
