Guilherme Roma: «I will always do my best to be an option in attack»

GUILHERME ROMA, PLAYER OF FUTURE striker, was once again part of the Vitória FC team's options in the match against Farense in the 16th round of the South Zone of the National Under-19 Championship. The match ended in a 0-0 draw and with this result the Sadinos maintained eighth place with 19 points.

• Did entering the final part of the game make it difficult to adapt to the game?

• No. I entered the final phase of the match, the game was at that stage very fast and somewhat broken. I entered and quickly managed to get into the rhythm and catch the dynamics required of the moment. It took five minutes plus compensation time and I'm sure I did my best.

• Not being a starter affected your motivation?

• In a vast squad with a lot of quality, the technical team has the difficult task for each game and taking into account the opponent, to project, devising the best 11 in the game strategy. Naturally, every player wants to play... always and I'm no exception to the rule.

There is one thing that only I can control and that is called work.

The technical team does their best and I will always give a liter and a drop to be an option and be available, whenever they understand.

So my motivation is worked on every day in training, so I can get to the game and be 100%.

• Was the draw the right result?

• The result adjusts to what happened. Neither team wanted to lose and both teams did everything they could to achieve victory.

• How will you face the week?

• I see it as always... focused and very determined, with the ambition of every training session to grow more and better. I am a privileged young man to do what I like and to have the opportunity to represent such a noble club as Vitória.

• Next Saturday (5.30 pm) will be followed by a visit to a club he knows well, Alverca. Difficulties in sight?

• It won't be easy, but we're going to Alverca with the ultimate goal of winning. It's my hometown, it was at Alverca that I started playing, so I know the club very well. It will be a game in which neither team will want to lose points. It's always a special game for me, where I like to be present and where I naturally hope to win, thus achieving more solidity in the league table.
