GUILHERME ROMA, PLAYERS OF FUTURE striker, left Académica for Vitória FC de Setúbal. The Portuguese striker will now defend the Sadinas colors in the Under-19 National Championship of the 1st Division and this Saturday (15:00) he will be able to make his debut against Beira-Mar, in a match counting for the 14th round taking place in the Campo da Várzea, in Setúbal.
- What were the reasons that led you to leave Coimbra for Setúbal?
- When you feel, when you see and when the signs indicate that you are not a bet for the current technical team, you have to look at yourself and the future. In fact, I felt that my focus and dedication to work were not compensated fairly by those in charge.
- Was it a complicated decision?
- No, it was simple... very simple... I explained what I felt to the right people, I explained everything I thought. I am a player with a winning mentality and demanding respect for my work.
- How far do you want to get in Setúbal?
- Firstly, I want to create my space and respect. I will give everything for Vitória, and I will do everything to deserve this bet from someone who never gave up on me. I'm very, very happy!
- What is your opinion about Académica?
- Académica is a club of lovers, a unique club, a different club... I was treated very well, I lacked nothing. Eternally grateful and proud to have worn a mythical shirt. Thank you, Academic!
- Did you leave many friends in Coimbra?
- Yes, I left behind fantastic colleagues, wonderful staff, but life is a road with opportunities and you either take them or you don't. I will certainly miss them all.
- How far can Vitória go?
- Vitória has a very objective project, this project is daily, demanding and respectful, working with love and dedication to the cause. We can get wherever we want if we have commitment and a strong attitude in training and playing.
- Despite having recently arrived at Vitória, can you already give an opinion about the club?
- Although I had only been at the club for a short time, I found an organizational dynamic that I highlight, a very humble group where I was welcomed with open arms by everyone.
- What are your expectations for the game against Beira-Mar this Saturday?
- The thought is to win... just do everything we do during the week regardless of the opponent. The mentality here is winning!
- How would you rate the role of PLAYERS OF FUTURE in the transfer from Coimbra to Setúbal?
- PLAYERS OF FUTURE has been my emotional balance in the most difficult moments, there is always a word of appreciation, a frank and honest word and, therefore, it has been a true winning team.
