João Santos: «I knew the draw against Torreense a little while ago»

Casa Pia, coached by JOÃO SANTOS, PLAYERS OF FUTURE coach, conceded a one-goal draw against Torreense in a match counting for the 14th round of the Southern Series of the National Junior Championship B. Despite the draw (1- 1, goal by Diogo Lopes) recorded at Pina Manique, the geese maintained third place with one more point than Belenenses, who went on to beat Sacavenense, 2-0.

- Casa Pia had several opportunities to score in the first half, including a wasted penalty. Should the result have been different?

- It was a draw a little while ago, but we have to take responsibility for what we wasted and for not being able to play our game in the second half. For us it was losing two points against a team with no playing principles, no quality to be in this division, but we ended up being lucky.

- Unfair?

- Without a doubt, the result was unfair, but I accept the result and the less successful game. We had more opportunities, we tried to play our football, but without success. Credit to the opponent, who tried to defend, stop the rhythm of the game, and only look for depth, kicking forward... I think this division deserves more football, but that's my opinion...

- Does losing two points after the excellent 2-1 win at Restelo make things more difficult?

- Well, the objective remains the same, the best possible result is third place at the end of this phase. It would be an excellent result for everyone.

- The visit to Sporting, in Alcochete, is the next step. Complications in sight?

- The game with Sporting will be complicated, we know that they are the best team, that they haven't lost yet, but we will try our luck, always maintaining our identity.
