Casa Pia, a team coached by JOÃO SANTOS, PLAYER OF FUTURE coach, beat Belenenses, 2-1, in a game counting for the 13th round of Series B of the National Junior Championship B. Two goals from striker Leo Fajardo decided the electrifying meeting that took place at the Major Batista da Silva field, in Restelo. With this victory, JOÃO SANTOS's geese isolated themselves in third place with three more points than Belenenses.
- Does Vitória adjust to what happened at Restelo?
- Yes. A painful but fair victory, without a doubt. We already expected difficulties but we prepared the game very well, tactically and psychologically, determining factors in this match. We were almost always on top of the game and the victory is fair, it fits perfectly with what happened in the match.
-Did you feel during the game that you would win?
- Yes. We felt we were on top. We believed that at any moment we would reach the goal. We didn't allow great opportunities for Belenenses and we created many opportunities.
- Are you closer to achieving your goal?
- Well, we are closer to achieving our main objective, which is maintenance. We hope, on the other hand, that we will reach the championship stage. I think so.
- Casa Pia fans were tireless throughout the meeting. Is it easier with this unconditional support?
- Undoubtedly! At the moment we have a family within the group. Parents and friends have been decisive and tireless in all games. We fly together has been our slogan.
- Is winning the title a utopia?
- Yes, that is practically impossible. The big investment and everything that involves the big ones makes all the difference. Favorites to win the title? SC Braga and Sporting are the big favorites for me.
- Next challenge is with Torreense, last placed. Difficulties in sight?
- We are not going to make it easy in any game. Torreense has already beaten us this season and has a good team. We respect all teams, we will not make it easy.
