JOSÉ PEDRO, coach of V. Setúbal, led the Sadina team in Penafiel in the 4th round of the Portuguese Cup. With a very positive performance, the team from Setúbal was very close to playing the role of fallen giants but ended up being defeated in extra time by 3-2.
- How do you analyze the defeat in Penafiel?
- I think that any result with a minimum difference, for either team, would be fair.
- Could Vitória have gone further in the Portuguese Cup?
- The truth is that we couldn't go any further, but we came very close to being able to do so. Not going through to the next round, the most important thing was what we can take from the game and what we did in Penafiel makes us very optimistic.
- Did you feel the difference in the value of the teams?
- I felt that my team was brave, they discussed the game for the game's sake, everything was decided in detail. We lacked a bit of luck to advance to the round of 16.
- Does the result steal motivation?
- On the contrary, after the game we played for 120 minutes, and what we demonstrated on the field, we can only remain motivated.
- Is the climb still on the horizon?
- This has been our main objective since day one, so there will be nothing that will make us deviate from it.
- Next comes the Oriental guided by Tuck. Difficulties in sight?
- Oriental is one of the good teams in the championship that is also very well oriented. It is up to us to continue on the path we have taken so far, always with the aim of improving as a team. Next Saturday, playing at home and in front of our fans, we will do everything we can to win the three points.
