Ri𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗼 𝗕𝗮𝗿ã𝗼 leads 𝗢𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗶𝘀 𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝗰𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲 to victory in 𝗧𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀 (𝟰-𝟯)
Ricardo Barão, PLAYERS OF FUTURE coach, kept Olivais and Moscavide on the path to success after the victory over Sandinenses (3-1) in a game counting for the third round of the Portuguese Cup. This Sunday, the Lisbon team won an excellent victory at Tires, 4-3, in a match counting for the third round of the 1st Division of the Lisbon Football Association.
- What is your analysis of the triumph in Tires?
- It was an atypical match, we dominated the game and had a great first half. U. Tires scored two goals with three shots at our goal in three transitions. We were always closer to the goal and even before their first goal we could have scored two or three times. But despite the great offensive flow and the many opportunities we created, the goals were late, ending up being snatched away. With half-time approaching and the game at 2-2, we just had to calm down the players, as we knew that with the football we were playing, more goals would come our way. We just needed to be more balanced at the time of the loss so as not to be surprised again. So it was and naturally we reached 4-2.
- Does this victory serve as motivation for the challenge with Sporting?
- We have time to think about Sporting and enjoy this moment. We are motivated by the desire to win every game, to play good football. We always look for victory in any field or in any competition. We work hard and well every week to be better and more capable game after game.
- Fabrício headed three of Olivais e Moscavide four goals. What is the secret for a 38 year-old player to score goals like this?
- The secret is work. Fabrício is a unique player who gives us things that few others give us. He is above average and it is up to us as a team to try to take advantage of his best characteristics. Furthermore, he is an incredible man and player and even with his past he applies himself to each training session as if it were the first and celebrates each goal as if it were the first of a career that is just beginning.
- Do Olivais and Moscavide focus on climbing to the Portuguese Championship?
- The focus is on work, on a daily basis and trying to evolve every day and ensuring that my players do so. For now, the climb doesn't matter, there's a long way to go in the championship. This time is very serious and requires a lot of work. We are in a division with a lot of quality and with great teams and coaches and we just try to get three points in every game we play. We know that this will not be possible, but we want to achieve this goal as often as possible.
