RICARDO BARÃO, PLAYERS OF FUTURE coach, led Olivais e Moscavide to a 2-0 victory over Ericeirense, in a delayed match of the 13th round of the 1st Division of the Lisbon Football Association. With this victory, the Lisbon team rose to seventh place with twenty points, two less than Sacavenense and visits Futebol Benfica this Wednesday in a delayed match. Interestingly, coaches who are sons of former Portuguese football stars will be on the bench: Francisco Barão and João Alves.
- How do you analyze the victory over Ericeirense?
- A fair victory. We started the match very well, managed to get an early lead and reached 2-0 quite naturally after one or two balls on the woodwork. In the second half we lowered the lines a little and also the pace of the game, as we already have a game this Wednesday, but even so, in some transitions we could have scored one or two more goals.
- Did the team meet the demands of the game?
- Yes. We knew how to accelerate while trying to get the advantage and then controlled the game well until the end. We had no injuries, just one expulsion (Marco Colaço), for a double yellow card around the 70th minute, which takes the player out of the next game.
- How far can Olivais and Moscavide reach?
- After almost a full lap, we continue to think exactly the same, we want to discuss the three points in every game and gain as many points as possible. And at the end we will do the math. But it is our ambition and obligation to compete in this championship among the top five.
- The next match is against Futebol Benfica, this Wednesday (8pm), at Campo Francisco Lázaro. Complications in sight?
- Extremely difficult game, we are going to the home of the second placed team whose only defeat was in the first round and against the leader and where we will face the team with the fewest goals conceded. For these reasons and others, we expect a very complicated game where we will work and fight with all our strength to try to continue adding points.
